Inspiration

These photos are from Going West! Quilts and Community, pages 66-68, from the Smithsonian American Art Museum.

I especially love this little Anvil Doll Bedcover. The maker is unidentified and the provenance unknown. It's late 19th century, pieced of cotton and 21 2/3 x 17 1/2 and from the Historical Society of Garden County, Oshkosh. I love the variety of fabrics.

I love reproduction quilts and, of course, reproduction doll quilts -- these are wonderful. Thanks for the inspiration!
