Starting a Series

I've collected photographs of quilts, including doll quilts, for many years but I can't say where I've gotten each one as I neglected to keep a record. This is one. I don't even know what size it is.

I'm using it as a model to make a series of quilts. The first one will be a soft beige and white print with a blue polka dot print. As I work on it I'm thinking of others I may want to make next.

The squares will be 1 1/2" square.

I have done the same thing....not keeping track of where I got quilts or took photos. I'm trying to change that. Your series of quilts sounds interesting!

Looking forward to your series. I too need to do a better job documenting the details of my collections! Thank you for sharing.

A perfect little quilt to base a series on. I really like the "border" on it. It will be fun to see what you do with it!

Hi! I'm reading your blog backwards...so I've seen all your series quilts and am now seeing what they are based on. What a cool idea. Did you hand piece all your little quilts in that series? I noticed the first one was. If so...you are a very quick piecer (and hand quilter)!

I love the original one...the pink with shirting. I am feeling an urge to re-create it. If I do...I will let you know!!
